Three separate functions
Circulation moves water through the equipment. Mechanical filtration traps particles. Disinfection addresses microorganisms using a method compatible with the tub and equipment. Clear-looking water alone does not establish that a shared bath is ready for another user.
Match the entire water circuit
List the pump curve, required chiller flow, filter connections and replacement cartridge size. A fine cartridge can restrict flow when dirty. Keep shut-off valves and service access available so a filter change does not require draining or dismantling everything, where the system design allows.
Plan consumables and routine maintenance
Before buying, check locally available replacement cartridges and the manufacturer’s cleaning schedule. For a shared facility, assign responsibility for checking water, cleaning surfaces and recording maintenance. UV or ozone equipment does not remove the need for an appropriate water-care programme.
