An ice bath budget depends on whether you are buying a tub alone, a cooling unit or a complete setup. Compare the same scope before comparing prices.

What does the price include?
A tub-only budget covers the vessel, not automatically its cooling system. A chiller-only budget may or may not include a pump, filter and hoses. A complete system still needs a clear list of included site work. Ask for separate lines for the tub, cooling, water care, cover, access steps and installation.
The ranges below are planning estimates for equipment selection, not a quotation for a named model. They should not be added together without checking overlap between included components.
Why a portable tub and a rigid shell differ
A portable tub can be a way to assess the space and routine before committing to a fixed installation. It still needs a cooling method and suitable water care. A rigid shell adds different access, finish and support requirements; a premium exterior does not establish insulation quality.
A locally installed custom shell and a standard imported unit can have very different scope. Compare the water-contact material, internal size, insulation, service access and included equipment before deciding that a price is high or low.
How to estimate electricity costs
Use measured average input power, not compressor HP or cooling output: monthly electricity = average electrical input in kW × operating hours per day × days × your applicable IDR/kWh tariff. A cycling system does not necessarily draw its rated maximum all day.
For illustration only, 0.4 kW average × 12 hours × 30 days = 144 kWh. At an assumed Rp1,500/kWh this is Rp216,000. This tariff and load are examples, not a current PLN quote or a forecast for your equipment. Water, cartridges, cleaning supplies and labour are additional.
What changes a Bali or Jakarta quote?
Indoor or sheltered placement, access width, drainage and electrical provision can change the work required. A balcony or raised deck also needs a load assessment including water and users. State the actual site conditions instead of relying on a city-based price.
Before agreeing a final configuration
Request a model list, included accessories, intended operating conditions, warranty terms and delivery schedule. For a business, check access to consumables and service. A cheap initial price does not establish low ownership cost, and no purchase price alone establishes payback.

Ice can suit occasional use; a compatible chiller can simplify repeated temperature control. Compare preparation time, storage, water care and ownership cost before choosing.
Cold plunge maintenance: water, filters and service access
An ice bath needs a maintenance plan matched to its model and users. Filtration, surface cleaning and water treatment do different jobs; a fixed universal water-change interval is not a reliable buying promise.
