Indoor or outdoor first?

Choose placement before comparing timber samples. Indoor projects depend on the room envelope and an exhaust route. Outdoor projects need a base, roof and weather details. Neither format is automatically cheaper: compare the complete scope on your site.

Where does Bangkirai belong?

Bangkirai is our exterior cladding option. Exterior exposure and the surfaces people touch inside a hot room are different design conditions. Do not transfer an exterior material specification directly to benches; agree each surface separately.

Sungkai, pine or red cedar?

We offer Sungkai or pine for interior specifications and premium red cedar to order. Compare samples, grain, finish, intended surface and care requirements. Sungkai is not another name for red cedar. Confirm origin and availability for special-order timber rather than assuming every component is local.

Can local production offer premium workmanship?

A local Indonesian team and locally sourced materials support our custom builds. We aim for European-quality workmanship using Russian sauna-building methods. Assess that through the agreed specification, joinery, installation checks and real project photos; this wording is not a claim of third-party certification.

What photos should I request?

Ask for the exterior, interior benches, heater area, entry and details of the timber you are considering. Gallery examples help discuss a layout, while actual project photos and material samples help assess the final offer. Request additional photos before finalising your choices.
